Beware

| Villanelle |

To be sad is to be sorry.
So say mind and so say heart.
If you grieve you have to worry.

Heart to mind is a priori
and the two do never part.
To be sad is to be sorry.

If the heart is in a fury,
then the mind cannot make art.
If you grieve you have to worry.

Heartless mind is nugatory,
boring to be only smart.
To be sad is to be sorry.

Heart to mind another story,
heart is where the mind must start.
If you grieve you have to worry.

To the heart mind is the glory,
to the heart no counterpart.
To be sad is to be sorry.
If you grieve you have to worry.

| They say | the villanelle has five tercets followed by a quatrain, altogether six stanzas. And two lines from the first stanza in the poem is repeated through the poem as follows: The first line is repeated as the last line in the second stanza, the last line in the fourth stanza and the third line in the sixth stanza; the third line is repeated as the last line in the third stanza, the last line in the fifth stanza and the last line of the sixth stanza. The rhyme scheme of the poem is like this:
| A1bA2 abA1 abA2 abA1 abA2 abA1A2 |.
So there are only two rhymes, repeated through the poem. The lines should be iambic or trochaic tetrameters.
